Have you ever stressed out about something and then halfway through you ask yourself... "what's your problem lady?". I did that with this weeks Sketch Challenge over at OWH's blog Stars & Stamps. The challenge, by the way, is sponsored by Doodle Pantry which has some awesome digital stamps. I used Doodle Pantry's pre colored Owl and one of the sentiments from the digital set, Quirky Owl, to make this card.
Here's the sketch:
My interpretation of the sketch doesn't have the small circles [which can be anything]. I tried lots of things like various shapes, bling, buttons, you name it, and nothing looked right to me. It seemed off balance with the owl. So I finally said "what's your problem lady?", and left those elements off. Yep, I talk to myself when I'm crafting. Ha!
Well, that's it for me today. Enjoy you day and thanks for stopping by. Hope you enjoyed your visit with me!
That owl is so cute! Such fun and bright colors. I love the embossed background you used.
ReplyDeleteI missed seeing this owl and he is so cute! Your inner voice was right - you didn't need the extra embellishments. This turned out wonderful!
ReplyDeleteCan't say that I've ever seen an owl that I didn't like. Yours is super cute!
ReplyDeleteThe owl is adorable- and a pre-colored image makes it so much quicker- but still absolutely fabulous! The embossing is great- I love texture! And yup- you are right- it is perfect the way it is-- nothing else needed!
ReplyDeleteI agree with you, the other embellishments would be too much! Love your colors.
ReplyDeleteI understamd competely about the embellishments! Great card! tfs!!!
ReplyDeleteI struggled with figuring out what to do with those small circles and I am still not completely happy with it. I think leaving them off was perfect for your card.
ReplyDeleteI didn't put those circles on my card either. I stressed about it for a moment and now I wish I had just said "what's your problem lady" and been done with it! The Doodle Pantry pre-colored images are super!
ReplyDeleteFabulous take on that sketch and love the Doodle Pantry image you used!Circles or no circles it is a wonderful card, love it! Thanks for joining us at the DPDC#33!
