Good Morning Peeps! Are you ready for the biggest and best Blog Hop ever??? Then you're in the right place... almost. This weekend OWH is having their ginormous Memorial Day Weekend Blog Hop! There are over 100 OWH Corporate Partners [companies] and Individual Bloggers [like myself]. If clicking on the badge above doesn't take you to the hop then click here.
The theme is Thank You cards, using one of our OWH sketches. You can find all the sketches by clicking here. Our Heroes always need Thank You cards to write home in. What is really needed now are Any Hero cards. It's hard to believe some heroes get very little mail, so Any Hero mail lets them know someone cares about them.
I made my card using Sketch #81, and there is a friendly note from me to cheer up a Any Hero.
I used a die to cut the star and backed the opening with DSP. Yep, it's the same as my photo background. You can see the original OWH Sketch Challenge for this card by clicking here.
Thank you so much for stopping by. Hope you enjoyed your visit! Now go, scoot, get to hopping!

Really really cute Marlene!! I like the repetition of the embossed star paper with the punched out star, too - nice!!

That punched out star is a nice touch. It goes nicely with your background star embossing and your red, white and blue twine brings it all in together. Enjoy your weekend.
ReplyDeleteI love the star cut into the curvy Top Note panel- great idea instead of just gluing a star on the front. Nice to vary the red-white-and-blue theme with the yellow. Im an "over-the-hill" cardmaker too - enjoying it as a hobby now, but it's becoming a bit of an obsession, and I'm not quite retired yet! Happy Memorial Day weekend.
ReplyDeleteI love your embossed stars and the clever way you tied the twine through the die cut! Happy Memorial Day weekend!
