Thinking of You makes me smile!

Hello friends! As the old saying goes, "I'm too pooped to pop"! Yesterday I had a small family party for my mom who turned 90 yrs young on October 9th. It's means a lot of shlepping food and party fixins to the nursing home... but well worth it. Mom loved it! And yeah, I'm tired today. But, today is Sunday and that means a new sketch challenge over at Operation Write Home's blog, Stars & Stamps.

I made two versions, one masculine  [Authentique Papers 6x6 pad "Original" colletion]

... and the other feminine.   [Carta Bella Paper Co. 6x6 pad "Paris Girl" collection]

This is the sketch from this week's challenge:

I was able to cut pieces and parts out for 4 more cards. But, I'm just not going to get around to putting them together today.

Thanks so much for stopping by, hope you enjoyed your visit!

  1. What a good daughter you are!! I'm sure your mom had a fabulous day and she and her friends are all undoubtedly still talking about it! I really like how you changed the sketch with the different papers, all of which go fabulously together!

  3. I've met my long lost sister... Someone who knows the finer art of "shlepping". . , it definitely takes some know-how and a lot of practice. I've been working on my shlepping all day. Tell Mom I said happy birthday! And I love your cards!

  7. These cards are so very ice. I like them both no matter the gender. You are a wonderful daughter. I've done that and I know how much work it is to make and cart things to a different location. She is a lucky lady to have you as her daughter.Happy Birthday to her.

  9. GORGEOUS!! What more can I say after seeing both of your NEW OWH Cards! -- Love your paper choices!!

Special thanks for visiting my blog and sharing your sweet words about how it is when our children grow up and move away. I'm very proud of Brian and adore Meg, but I still wish they would be a bit closer to home. On the upside, I hear that San Diego is always nice, so I know I'll LOVE going out for a visit, once the cold New England Weather is here! Perfect escape and by the New Year, they should be settled and the timing will be perfect for me to leave the bitter cold!!

    Thanks again and Happy Crafting!!
